Melle!

We have arrived in Melle. The families met us at the train and immediately began connecting. We were whooshed off to a picnic in the country - at a spot where a little stream naturally divided into two streams which proceed to flow on to become two rivers. This is unusual and has only been documented in two places in the world. But that wasn't our actual focus. We had grilled meats and all varieties of salads and chatted. The students seem to be off to a good start. They were all talking together and lots of smiles all around. Pictures would have broke the moment so I didn't interrupt. There were a few nervous glances but everyone seemed to be relaxed by the end of huge picnic. Now they are all in their German homes and we have school tomorrow bright and early.
