Day One

Day one is always a tough one - dragging bags around, learning the transportation system, fighting jet lag, and lots of walking. The kids have been troopers so far showing positive attitudes and willingness to be patient. Today we found our hostel, got money, and learned the subway. We also saw a bit of the city, visited the Brandenburger Gate, toured the reichstag dome, explored the memorial to the Jews killed in the Holocaust, and bought dinner. By 7:00, everyone was exhausted and we are now turning in for the night at our hostel.
