Day 3 and our last in Berlin. We began with a tour of a prison used by the secret police of East Germany. We learned a great deal about the government of East Germany and the lengths to which they would go to develop their society. Then we had lunch.
And visited one of two museums - either the Neue National Galerie to see art masterpieces or the Neues Museum to see artifacts of the ancient world.
The students are a great group. Both our tour guide yesterday and today commented on how well behaved and also knowledgable were. They also have gotten used to Berlin and we're capable of some free time to explore on their own. I also appreciate how well they are all working together and getting along! It makes it a joy to be with them.
This evening 6 of the group went on a long walk and we saw the East Side Gallery- a still standing section of the Berlin Wall now functioning as an art showcase.
Tomorrow we leave Berlin to spend the day in Wittenberg. On to new adventures and one day closer to our exchange city.

Wonderful pictures and what exciting places to visit!
