There, we watched a short film about the history of Buchenwald and what happened there. After that, we went on an individual tour of Buchenwald. We each had an iPod with little chapters about each area. Who knew there was a small Zoo with bears! It was a very desolate place, just us and a few others. I personally found it very eerie when the little information would stop playing and I would hear only the wind blowing and rocks beneath my feet. Buchenwald has a gorgeous view of some hills and forests, but it was so hard to find beauty in a place like that.
After Buchenwald we headed back to Weimar for lunch and some exploring. Frau Green took us on a little tour of the city, places where Goethe and Schiller worked and lived. Weimar is absolutely gorgeous, lots of little shops and lots of very good food. We had a lot of free time.
It was so fun to explore the cobblestone streets, town squares and parks, winding alleys and picturesque cafes. So much to do and so little time. Two days ago I never wanted to leave Berlin, and now I never want to leave Weimar. Summary of the story: I never want to leave Germany. 🇩🇪🇩🇪❤️
(P.S- mom, you can rent out my room if you like, I think I'm just going to stay here)

Enjoyed reading this, thank you, Erica :)
